Steven C. Teebagy, Esquire

Professional Background

Steven C. Teebagy practices in many areas of law including insurance defense, fraud investigation, fraud defense, aviation law, general first and third party defense, commercial litigation, and a variety of general civil litigation and contract matters. He is a versatile and seasoned trial attorney with extensive court room, jury and trial experience, having tried numerous cases both in the State and Federal court system.

Mr. Teebagy is admitted to practice before the Florida Supreme Court and regularly appears in Circuit Courts throughout the State of Florida. Mr. Teebagy is also admitted to practice in the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida Federal Court.


He has been involved in precedent setting appellate work in the State of Florida, including a key decision involving the assessment of attorney’s fees in the proposal for settlement context as well as interest on unearned premiums.


Mr. Teebagy began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney prosecuting a broad range of criminal cases. During his career as an Assistant State Attorney, he prosecuted high-profile murder cases and other serious violent felonies.


In addition to managing and trying his own cases, Mr. Teebagy was also a supervisor of the State Attorney’s County Court Division, consisting of 12 attorneys both in the county court and juvenile divisions. During his tenure as an Assistant State Attorney, he also taught legal courses at the police academy to future law enforcement officers.

Crystalin C. Medeiros, Esquire

Professional Background

Crystalin C. Medeiros focuses her practice on insurance coverage and defense litigation in both the first and third party context. She represents insurance carriers in commercial and residential first-party property losses with a wide range of experience in litigating property coverage issues, including claims related to hurricane and windstorm damage, water damage, fire damage, and numerous other casualties.

Ms. Medeiros also handles liability defense including premises liability and negligence. Furthermore, she has significant experience in appeals and has participated in all aspects of appellate practice. She also has experience defending insurers in the area of workers’ compensation.


Ms. Medeiros is licensed by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation to instruct adjuster continuing education and has presented on a wide range of topics including ethics, fraud, bad faith, Florida case law, and insurance regulation.


She had the privilege of serving as an intern Law Clerk at the Florida Supreme Court under then Justice Raoul Cantero. She was one of eight individuals selected in the State of Florida to participate in the Florida Distinguished Students Program at that high court, where she worked on a vast array of appellate matters. These include reviewing and making recommendations on petitions for discretionary review and assisting with opinion drafting.


Ms. Medeiros also worked for the The Knowledge is Power program through St. Thomas University, providing legal aid services to an indigent client base in Miami-Dade County, where she supervised pro bono volunteers. Prior to undertaking her legal studies, Ms. Medeiros consulted on accessible housing and design requirements under the Fair Housing Act in Boston, Massachusetts.
